Job Description

The Inventory Supervisor provides leadership, direction and strategy for the Inventory Control team on the site that will enable and facilitate the execution of the outlined operational deliverables. They will also be responsible for developing and progressing key customer relationships and operational partnerships necessary to drive and support an atmosphere of continuous improvement and operational excellence as it relates to inventory control management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer inventory accuracy is monitored and reported timely to site leadership

  • Maximize the performance of the site inventory processes and system to ensure: Care, custody, and control of the customer's inventory

  • Accuracy (to floor and customer book)

  • Proper utilization of information technology systems

  • Provide required documentation in support of compliance requirements

  • Manage the planning and execution of proactive and reactive cycle counts in compliance with the contractual service level agreement

  • Develop, implement, and validate procedures, controls and systems that prevent, detect and correct errors in inventory transactions and balances

  • Apply continuous improvement initiatives to drive process, inventory accuracy, compliance, on-time completion, within budget, documented results

  • Design and generate appropriate reporting to track inventory accuracy, shrink compliance, and variance root cause trends

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of internal and customer systems to provide extensive support to the operational team as well as the customer for inventory and production related issues

  • Develop resource plans and equipment needs budget for review with site leadership.

We are looking for

  • Experience in contract logistics especially in a customer facing role

  • Experience to work in an international matrix organization with excellent stakeholder management capabilities

  • Lean thinking and continuous improvement will be a standard way of Leading.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

  • Deep and broad understanding of Inventory Control, its financial and operational impacts

  • Strong personality; passionate, holistic view, courageous, effective in different cultural settings, impact driven and optimistic

  • Resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Der Inventory Supervisor übernimmt die Führung, Steuerung und strategische Ausrichtung des Inventory-Control-Teams am Standort, um die Umsetzung der definierten operativen Ziele sicherzustellen und zu unterstützen. Darüber hinaus ist die Position verantwortlich für den Aufbau und die Weiterentwicklung wichtiger Kundenbeziehungen und operativer Partnerschaften, die eine Kultur der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung und operativen Exzellenz im Bereich Inventory Management fördern.

Hauptaufgaben

  • Sicherstellen, dass die Bestandsgenauigkeit des Kunden überwacht und zeitnah an die Standortleitung berichtet wird

  • Maximierung der Leistung der standortbezogenen Inventory-Prozesse und Systeme zur Gewährleistung von:

  • Sorgfalt, Verwahrung und Kontrolle der Kundenbestände

  • Bestandsgenauigkeit (physischer Bestand und Kundenbuchbestand)

  • Ordnungsgemäßer Nutzung von IT-Systemen

  • Bereitstellung der erforderlichen Dokumentation zur Unterstützung von Compliance-Anforderungen

  • Planung und Durchführung proaktiver und reaktiver Cycle Counts gemäß den vertraglich vereinbarten Service-Level-Agreements (SLA)

  • Entwicklung, Implementierung und Validierung von Verfahren, Kontrollen und Systemen zur Vermeidung, Erkennung und Korrektur von Fehlern bei Bestandsbuchungen und Beständen

  • Anwendung von Continuous-Improvement-Initiativen zur Verbesserung von Prozessen, Bestandsgenauigkeit, Compliance sowie termingerechter und budgetgerechter Umsetzung mit dokumentierten Ergebnissen

  • Erstellung und Weiterentwicklung geeigneter Reports zur Überwachung von Bestandsgenauigkeit, Shrinkage-Compliance und Ursachenanalysen von Abweichungen

  • Pflege umfassender Kenntnisse interner sowie kundenseitiger Systeme, um das operative Team und den Kunden bei inventur- und produktionsbezogenen Themen umfassend zu unterstützen

  • Entwicklung von Ressourcenplänen und Budgetanforderungen für Equipment zur Abstimmung mit der Standortleitung

Wir suchen

  • Erfahrung in der Kontraktlogistik, insbesondere in kundenorientierten Rollen

  • Erfahrung in der Arbeit innerhalb einer internationalen Matrixorganisation mit ausgeprägten Stakeholder-Management-Fähigkeiten

  • Lean Thinking und kontinuierliche Verbesserung als selbstverständlicher Führungsansatz

  • Ausgezeichnete zwischenmenschliche und kommunikative Fähigkeiten

  • Erfahrung mit Warehouse-Management-Systemen (WMS)

  • Tiefgehendes und umfassendes Verständnis von Inventory Control sowie deren finanziellen und operativen Auswirkungen

  • Starke Persönlichkeit: leidenschaftlich, ganzheitlich denkend, mutig, wirkungsorientiert, optimistisch und sicher im Umgang mit unterschiedlichen Kulturen

  • Belastbarer Teamplayer mit hoher Zielorientierung und ausgeprägtem Engagement sowie der Fähigkeit, mit minimaler Anleitung zu arbeiten

  • Leidenschaft für Mitarbeiter- und Teamentwicklung

  • Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
