Job Title: Outbound Operations Supervisor
Location: Miami, FL
Overview:
A growing distribution organization is seeking an experienced Outbound Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse outbound activities, including order picking, packing, and shipping. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely order fulfillment while maintaining high productivity, quality, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily outbound operations including picking, packing, and shipping
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and meet required timelines
- Manage order prioritization and workflow to meet deadlines
- Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to support efficient shipping processes
- Monitor order throughput and maintain consistent operational flow
- Implement processes to reduce errors, damages, and shipping delays
- Oversee shipment preparation, labeling, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with carrier requirements and applicable regulations
- Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments with logistics partners
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and operational compliance
- Track error rates and identify root causes of discrepancies
- Partner with other teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates and team leads
- Set productivity targets and monitor team performance
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
- Track and report key performance metrics such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, and productivity
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of order fulfillment and shipping operations
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
