About us!

Warehouse Material Handler

Department:  Warehouse

Status: Non-Exempt

Employee Classification:  Regular Full-time

Reports To:  Warehouse Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm

Job Summary: Responsible for handling, tracking and monitoring raw materials to meet production demands. 

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain organization and sanitation of inventory locations
2. Monitor production schedule and progress
3. Pick and stage raw materials for production
4. Ensure proper temperature and handling of raw materials
5. Document physical movement of goods between inventory locations
6. Communicate issues as they arise
7. Maintain inventory accuracy at multiple inventory locations, including quantity and lot information
8. Cycle counting

Can perform the above tasks with little to no supervision, in addition to…

1. Order materials from offsite storage based on production need. Ensure proper routing of order materials for production
2. Route finished goods to appropriate storage locations

1. Other tasks as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Proficient in forklift operation
2. Proficient in PC skills; ERP/MRP and Microsoft Office Suite
3. Effective time management skills
4. Effective communications skills
5. Team oriented.

Working Conditions/Physical Factors:

1. Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
2. Worker may be exposed to a loud working environment.
3. Worker may be exposed to hazards in the work place such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current
4. Must be able to work in environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.)
5. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
6. Occasionally required to use hands and fingers 
7. Frequently required to talk or hear
8. Frequently required to taste and smell
9. Frequently required to lift/push/pull/carry weight up to 65 pounds
10. Exposure to moving mechanical parts
11. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
