Maverick Pipe, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support operations at our Richmond, KY facility. Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. The position operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient and accurate material handling.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.

  • Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.

  • Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.

  • Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials; report damages or discrepancies.

  • Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.

  • Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.

  • Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); technical training preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

  • Basic math skills to support accurate order processing.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Problem-solving ability to address day-to-day warehouse challenges.

  • High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
