Warehouse Order Selector/Shipping

Position Overview

We are seeking Warehouse Order Selectors for temp-to-hire opportunities supporting distribution center operations. This role includes a structured 17-week training and evaluation period, after which candidates may be considered for full-time employment based on their performance.

Location and Pay

Located in Wells, ME, this position offers a pay rate of $22.00 per hour.

Work Schedule

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Candidates will be assigned one of the following schedules:

• Schedule 1: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• Schedule 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday

Important: The assigned schedule is determined by the week the worker starts.

Breaks and Overtime

• Paid Lunch: 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM
• Break: 8:45 AM – 9:00 AM
• Overtime During Training: Optional
• Overtime After Conversion to Full-Time Employee: Based on seniority

Transportation and Parking

• Public transportation is not available.
• Free onsite parking is available.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated reliability and consistent attendance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and training instructions.
• Training is available in both English and Spanish.
• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Must be able to obtain clearance to operate an electric pallet jack and other equipment as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Use a voice-controlled system to select full-case grocery, frozen, and/or other perishable products.
• Operate a ride-on electric pallet jack to select and move products throughout the warehouse.
• Wear a headset throughout the entire shift while using the voice-controlled system.
• Palletize cases and prepare pallets for shipment to local stores.
• Safely lift and move products individually as part of regular job duties.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds to shoulder level.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds overhead.
• Must be able to perform these lifting requirements throughout the entire shift.

Hiring Process

Required Pre-Employment Site Tour

All candidates must attend a site tour before moving forward in the hiring process.

• Site Tour Location: Wells, ME
• Available Tour Days: Tuesday and Thursday
• Tour Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Check-In Instructions: Candidates must check in with security upon arrival and let them know they are there for the site tour.

Following the tour, candidates will meet one-on-one with a supervisor for a few minutes. Final hiring decisions will be communicated after the site tour has been completed.

Dress Code and Required Equipment

• Safety shoes are required.
• Closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes are not the same as safety shoes and do not meet the safety-shoe requirement.
• Candidates must dress appropriately for the warehouse environment.
