Job Description

Who We Are:Watkins Distributing is a family-owned and operated beverage distribution company that has proudly served the communities of Idaho and Montana for four generations.

Job Summary:The Warehouse Picker is part of the warehouse picking and loading team, responsible for building orders and stocking pallets to support timely beverage distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately select customer orders using scanners, voice-directed systems, or other warehouse technology in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Confirm product type, package size, quantities, and order accuracy using handheld devices and internal systems.
  • Build and load pallets with beverage products based on assigned order tickets and loading specifications.
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to move inventory and completed orders throughout the facility.
  • Shrink-wrap, label, and stage products for outbound shipment according to established procedures.
  • Load outbound delivery vehicles and unload incoming trucks, empty pallets, and keg returns.
  • Keep warehouse areas clean and organized, including aisles, storage locations, and work surfaces.
  • Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and support facility security standards.
  • Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks is preferred.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to follow order selection instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work safely and consistently in a warehouse environment while maintaining productivity.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and able to sustain accuracy under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be able to regularly lift and move beverage cases weighing 20–45 lbs. Role requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work is performed across multiple warehouse temperature zones, including dry, cool, and refrigerated environments.
