Overview
Job Description
- Location: Kansas City, MO (In-person)
- Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
- Reports to: Facilities Manager
- Status: Full-Time, Non-exempt
- Oversee all inbound shipments (small parcel, LTL, FTL) from unload -> receipt -> putaway.
- Assign and prioritize work to ensure 24-48 hour dock-to-stock targets are met.
- Manage staging to reduce dock congestion and keep flow moving.
- Ensure accurate system receiving (WMS) for all Pos and ASNs.
- Validate counts, lot/serials (if applicable), and proper SKU identification.
- Direct proper bin placement and space utilization for efficient picking.
- Enforce QC processes for damages, discrepancies, and compliance issues.
- Document and communication variances (shortages, overages, defects).
- Escalate vendor or product issues to appropriate teams.
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse associates on 2nd shift.
- Monitor productivity, accuracy, and adherence to SOPs
- Conduct shift start-us, set expectations, and drive accountability.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in warehouse operations, receiving, or logistics
- Prior supervisory experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of WMS systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
- Solid communication and team leadership abilities
- You lead by example and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves
- You balance speed with accuracy
- You’re organized, dependable, and solutions-oriented
- You know how to lead and motivate a team to meet goals
- You take initiative to learn and understand process to work efficiently and productively
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Active warehouse setting with moderate noise
- Regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs frequently; up to 100 lbs occasionally)
- Work around equipment, moving machinery, and elevated areas
