Job Title: Warehouse Specialist - 1st Shift

Location: Hicksville, NY

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Specialist to join our team for the 1st shift. This role involves physically demanding tasks such as moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes. The position requires the ability to handle items weighing from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs manually and with hand carts. The ideal candidate will be able to perform these duties efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Engage in manual lifting, carrying, and arranging of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• Lift and carry boxes ranging in weight from 10-100 lbs regularly, without assistance.
• Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
• Read and write English to process orders and manage inventory.
• Use the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.
• Operate a handheld scanner.
• Climb and balance on ladders.
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.

Qualifications:

• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Capability to work without assistance to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and changes in walking surfaces/elevation.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Experience with operating hand carts, pallet jacks, and various material handling aids.
