Warehouse Specialist - Portland

Join the Carson Team! We are looking for a Warehouse Specialist to work in our Portland location in the Lubricant Department. We offer a competitive wage and great benefits! Responsibilities include the following:

Essential Functions

• Filling 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums
• Stocking products
• Loading trucks
• Operating a forklift
• Learn, maintain, and operate all processes associated with the position
• Manage preventative and predictive maintenance tasks as directed
• Responsible to report to work at the scheduled time; be a team member, who can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner; be conscientious about assignments
• Maintain a team environment with other employees and departments
• Maintain a high level of customer service and friendly atmosphere
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Communicate effectively
• Interact well with others
• Be certifiable for driving a forklift
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Open to varied work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays due to special events, inclement weather, and other projects related to timely and accurate warehousing and distribution of product.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a warehouse with a significant amount of walking on concrete surfaces. Entrances may be open; work conditions during summer can be very hot, and very cold during winter
• Workspace could have excessive dust, and on occasion be noisy due to the traffic of motorized vehicles operated in the building
• Periodically may work outside and be exposed to the elements
• Will lift, bend, stoop, pick up, and move objects up to 50lbs. unassisted
• Will work in a typical warehouse environment with fluctuating seasonal temperatures
• Will spend up to 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing
• Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection.
