Warehouse Associate (Shipping & Fulfillment)Redford, MI | Full-Time | Operations | Saf-Gard Safety Shoe CompanyAbout the RoleWarehouse work is hands-on, fast-paced and all about accuracy and timing. If you have experience in warehouse associate jobs, warehouse worker roles, or fulfillment center environments, this position is for you.In this role, you'll be part of the team that makes sure safety footwear gets where it needs to go on time and correct the first time. Process outbound shipments in a fulfillment and distribution center environment
Receive incoming inventory and verify product accuracy (receiving clerk functions)Stock and replenish inventory in appropriate warehouse locations
Maintain inventory accuracy and quality control checks before shipment
Prepare shipments for outbound delivery (shipping and receiving / outbound logistics)Maintain clean and organized warehouse work areas
Operate within a structured warehouse management system (WMS)Work collaboratively as a warehouse team member supporting daily fulfillment goals
What We're Looking ForExperience in warehouse roles
Ability to perform order fulfillment, packing and shipping and receiving tasks
Comfort working in a fast-paced distribution center or fulfillment center environment
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
Willingness to learn basic computer systems and warehouse tools
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently when needed
Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred QualificationsExperience with order picker, inventory control, or warehouse operations
Familiarity with cycle count processes and stock replenishment
Experience in inbound logistics or outbound logistics
Exposure to warehouse management systems (WMS)Previous shipping and receiving experience in a high-volume environment
ScheduleFull-time position
Monday-FridayFlexible scheduling required
On-site role in Redford, MICompensation & BenefitsCompany-paid dental, vision, long-term disability, short-term disability, and life insurance beginning the first of the month after 60 days
Multi-tiered medical insurance plans to choose from (benefits valued at over $10,000 annually)8 paid holidays per yearPTO is available after 90 days, accrued bi-weekly at a rate of 3.08 hours (2 weeks annualized after 1st year). Bi-weekly accrual rate increases to 4.62 hours after 7 years (3 weeks annualized)401(k) plan with 50% employer match on first 6% of employee base pay
