Job Description
Summary of Duties:
The Tool Room/Shipping & Receiving Clerk/Driver is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring efficient logistical support for inventory, facilitating the flow of materials from suppliers to the warehouse, service trucks and job sites. In addition, driver duties and deliveries are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate local and out-of-town deliveries, proficiently pulling and backing trailers.
- Maintain an organized inventory, for Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing service/commercial stock.
- Monitor and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels.
- Coordinate the delivery and retrieval of materials to and from job sites.
- Verify counts and pricing on incoming shipments.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy in main stock and service vehicles.
- Maintain and update One-Key purchase orders.
- Assist technicians and Project Managers with product and material research as needed.
- Promote and uphold a safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive company culture by embodying values of ethics and integrity.
- Support the organization, security and safety of service truck stock levels.
- Additional duties will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Proven warehouse work experience
- Expertise in warehouse procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Hands on experience with warehouse software and databases
- Electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience a plus.
