We're partnering with a well-established food manufacturing company seeking a Wastewater Technician to join its first-shift team. What You'll Do
As a Wastewater Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping the facility's wastewater treatment system operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems
- Perform daily oiling, greasing, and preventative maintenance on pumps and equipment
- Conduct chemical testing, drawdowns, and jar tests to maintain proper treatment levels
- Monitor pH levels, calibrate probes, and document readings
- Inspect pumps, water flow, and chemical delivery systems while making adjustments as needed
- Monitor water pit levels and overall wastewater system performance
- Maintain chemical inventory and coordinate timely reordering
- Complete required operational logs and documentation
- Follow all food safety, environmental, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with other wastewater operations and maintenance tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment in wet or varying temperature environments
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including occasional Saturdays
- At least 18 and authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, industrial, wastewater, or production experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Stable work history
