We are hiring an experienced Water Damage Restoration Technician / Crew Chief to lead mitigation projects.
J. Blanton Plumbing is seeking an experienced Mitigation Crew Chief to lead water damage mitigation and restoration projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing job sites, directing mitigation laborers, ensuring proper equipment setup, and delivering high-quality service to our customers.The ideal candidate has experience in the restoration industry, understands drying and mitigation processes, and can confidently lead a team while maintaining professionalism with homeowners.If you take pride in your work, communicate clearly, and enjoy leading teams in a fast-paced environment, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with a strong and established service company.Responsibilities
- Lead water damage mitigation projects from initial response through completion
- Direct and supervise mitigation technicians and laborers on job sites
- Inspect properties and assess water damage conditions
- Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and containment systems
- Perform moisture readings and document job progress
- Communicate clearly with homeowners about work being performed
- Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and organized
- Coordinate with management regarding job progress and equipment needs
- Follow company mitigation protocols and industry standards
- Complete documentation and job reports accurately
Must Have
- Mold and water certification
- IICRC certified
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lead a team and manage job site workflow
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred Experience
- Water damage mitigation or restoration experience
- Experience using drying equipment and moisture detection tools
- Construction, demolition, or restoration leadership experience
- Experience managing crews or job sites
