Waterjet Operator - 2Nd Shift

Job Title: Waterjet OperatorLocation: Northwood, IACompensation: $18.00 per hour - paid weeklySchedule: 2nd Shift | 3:00pm-1:00am | Monday-FridayJob Type: Temporary or Temp-to-hireAbout the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Waterjet Operators for a renowned manufacturer located in Northwood, IA. • Read and understand manufacturing Job Orders to determine directions and processing of parts to be taken
• Order material from the warehouse
• Assist in general daily maintenance of equipment
• Keep work area and paperwork neat and orderly
• Fill out required paperwork and forms
• Clock time, parts, scrap, etc. in manufacturing software
• Crosstrain on equipment as required and train new operators on equipment
• Perform value-added checks and quality checks before beginning work and throughout the process to ensure accurate start and completion of Job Orders 
• Accurately complete labor reporting through manufacturing software
• Set up machines/equipment as needed according to Job Order requirements or set up sheet information

What You Need to Bring to the Waterjet Operator Role:

• High School diploma or GED
• 6+ months of related experience and/or training; manufacturing experience is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Able to regularly stand, reach, climb, stoop, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally may be required to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
