The Wealth Advisor is responsible for account management, business development, investment management, and consultative selling.

Essential functions of the role:
Account Management
Maintain ongoing business relationships with an emphasis on high standards of personal service
Review and interpret legal documents for administrative purposes
Communicate with outside professionals and oversee filing of necessary court documents
Introduce administrative matters to trust committee
Document external assets and monitor investments for compliance
Ensure that taxes are filed and expenses are paid on a timely basis
Provide administration of Trust/Estate settlement
Approve beneficiary distributions
Conform with applicable state statutes and Uniform Trust Code
Business Development
Develop new business and cross-selling opportunities of all bank products and services with both new and existing clients to expand fee income
Develop and maintain referral networks with outside professionals
Investment Management
Establish and maintain client relationships
Evaluate and respond to client needs
Work with clients and team to develop an investment objective and strategy
Apply fiduciary knowledge and judgment to fiduciary relationships
Understand and comply with internal policies, processes, and procedures to effect prudent risk management and judgment
Be knowledgeable of fiduciary duties and applicable laws, including trust and tax law, estate planning techniques, financial planning, asset management and prudent investment principles
Consultative Selling
Qualify potential customers, build rapport, and establish trust with client
Apply product and market knowledge by effectively presenting solutions to meet customer objectives
Manage and document sales process
Provide advice on a broad range of financial planning areas, including but not limited to, retirement planning, educational funding, estate planning, and tax strategies
Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job
Requirements
- College degree or level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements
- Two years of Trust Administration experience preferred
- Professional Designation is required and may include, but not limited to: CTFA, CFP, JD, CPA, and/or Graduate of National Trust School Program
- Legal, accounting, or financial planning experience preferred
- Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software
