We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as an Associate Product Owner/Business AnalystwithinWealthManagement Strategic Solutions Team (WMSS). This critical positionis responsible fordriving transformative change and executing strategic initiatives that are essential for risk mitigation and enhancing operational efficiencies. TheProduct Owner/Business Analystwill work closely with cross-functional teams,utilizingadvanced technologies to deliver top-tier solutions that align with our businessobjectives. In the Wealth Management division, we help people, businesses and institutions build, preserve, and manage wealth so they can pursue their financial goals

Wealth Management (WM) Platformsmanagesindustry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of nine sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow Solutions, Digital Trading & Investing, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution. Business Control & Support, and the Chief OperatingOffice.

TheWMSSTeam is a strategic transformation function within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Positioned at the intersection of process reengineering and technology, theWMSSTeam leads large-scale initiatives that drive operational excellence through workflow, automation, software/application development, artificial intelligence (GenAI, Agentic AI), and intelligent document processing solutions. The team plays a key role in creating widespread efficiency that enables a shift in capacity towards higher-value clients and business-focused activities.

Whatyou’lldo in the role:

  • Liaison Role: Serve as a bridge between business, product, User Experience, and technology teams to deliver platform solutions and create new processes.

  • Agile SquadActivities: Create business requirements and user stories, translating stakeholder needs into well-crafted backlog items. Collaborate closely with agile squads to refine, prioritize, and deliver high-value features through sprint planning and execution.

  • Business Analysis & Testing: Conduct comprehensive business analysis to define detailed technological requirements; carry out testing to confirm quality of features delivered.

  • Engagement & Transformation: Support business process transformation initiatives,identifyhigh-impact opportunities, and craft compelling businesscasesdemonstratingstrong ROI potential.

  • Process Improvement: Evaluate andoptimizeexisting processes and technology solutions to address the needs of key business stakeholders.

  • User Journey & Process Alignment: Map and refine critical user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes to align with strategicobjectivesand meet user and business requirements.

  • Strategic Change Support: Champion strategic change efforts from ideation through post-launch—managing requirements gathering, conducting impact analysis, overseeing user testing, executing rollout plans, and monitoring success metrics.

  • Backlog Management: Manage backlog refinement and sprint planning; clearly articulate requirements to squad and program stakeholders and drive timely delivery of key features.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrates a self-starting attitude witha strong senseof ownership and accountability

  • Possessesstrong communicationskills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex projects for senior leadership and build strong relationships across teams.

  • Exhibits strong analytical and adept at managing ambiguity, synthesizing data, and providing innovative solutions to both tactical and strategic challenges.

  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Experience in Agile or application development methodologies, and an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) a plus

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in software or product implementation,consultingor careers where a similar skill set is developed and demonstrated

  • Bachelor's Degree

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $58,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
