Summary:

The Wealth Planner will serve as a core member of the Wealth Strategy Team, supporting Financial Advisors and clients through the development of comprehensive wealth transfer plans ("Wealth Books"). This role is designed for a technically strong planner who is interested in evolving into ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) advisory work, including complex estate, tax, and multi-generational planning.

Over time, the individual may transition from plan development and coordination into a more strategic role, participating in advanced planning conversations and serving as a thought partner to advisors and UHNW clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Wealth Book Development & Planning Execution

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for Wealth Book creation in partnership with Financial Advisors (FAs)

  • Gather and organize client data, including financial statements, estate documents, and family structure

  • Develop initial drafts of:

  • Net worth statements and balance sheets

  • Estate flowcharts and wealth transfer structures

  • Incorporate feedback from Senior Wealth Strategists and revise deliverables to final form

  • Maintain and update existing Wealth Books as client circumstances evolve

Advisor & Client Support

  • Act as a first point of contact for FAs and their teams initiating planning engagements
  • Participate in internal pre-meetings to align on client strategy and deliverables
  • Join client meetings as appropriate, with increasing exposure to UHNW relationships over time
  • Proactively follow up with advisors and internal teams to ensure timely completion of planning inputs

Team & Firm Contributions

  • Actively contribute to team meetings, case discussions, and planning ideation
  • Build relationships with Financial Advisors as a trusted and accessible planning resource
  • Support planning needs for clients in the ~$10M-$30M range while developing toward more complex UHNW cases
  • Produce one piece of intellectual capital per quarter (article, blog, video, etc.) on relevant planning topics
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing firm-wide planning materials (presentations, guides, templates)

UHNW Development Path (Core to Role)

This role is intentionally structured as a feeder into UHNW strategy work, with increasing exposure to:

  • Advanced estate planning concepts (trust structures, generational planning, philanthropic strategies)
  • Complex balance sheets (operating businesses, private investments, multi-entity structures)
  • Tax-aware planning strategies and coordination with external advisors (CPAs, attorneys)
  • Participation in high-net-worth and UHNW client discussions alongside Senior Wealth Strategists

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in planning; CFP, JD, or CPA strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage complex information
  • Interest in UHNW planning, estate strategies, and multi-generational wealth
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset and desire to work closely with advisors and senior strategists

What We Offer:

We're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. Our PeopleFirst culture focuses on building and nurturing lifelong relationships with our employees because, at the end of the day, we exist to be there for others. The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
