Drupal Operations and Support Professional

Position Summary

UTSA is seeking a Drupal Operations and Support Professional to manage and maintain university web properties within an enterprise Drupal environment. This role focuses on post‑launch operations, including security patching, module updates, analytics, SEO, uptime monitoring, and TX‑RAMP hosting compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and experience supporting large-scale Drupal sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing Drupal maintenance, including core, module, and theme updates, along with security patching.
  • Perform routine operational support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize site performance.
  • Execute content updates and enhancements based on stakeholder requests.
  • Monitor and maintain accessibility compliance; support remediation efforts as needed.
  • Configure and report on web analytics, including performance metrics and conversion insights.
  • Support search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing‑focused site improvements.
  • Conduct backups, uptime monitoring, and recovery support to ensure site reliability.
  • Deliver technical support in alignment with defined service‑level agreements (SLAs).

Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting Drupal in higher education or enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with TX‑RAMP hosting compliance and security standards.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with communications, IT, and marketing teams.
