Job Title: Web Designer / UI/UX design / Frontend DeveloperLocation: Albany, NY (Hybrid 50% Onsite)

Mandates:
Compliance with HIPAA, ITS Security Agreements, and confidentiality policies
Ensure UI compliance with WCAG accessibility standards

Position Overview:
This role will support Legacy Risk Remediation Projects for OMH, focused on modernizing legacy applications into new, supported platforms. The candidate will be responsible for UI/UX design, prototyping, and accessibility compliance across multiple applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop user interfaces based on business requirements
- Build wireframes and prototypes using tools like Figma
- Create UI mockups and present to stakeholders
- Provide HTML/CSS prototypes for development teams
- Ensure UI compliance with WCAG accessibility standards
- Work with NYS Design System for consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, QA, PM)
Required Qualifications:
- UI/UX design for web-based applications (W3C, WCAG standards)
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, UXPin
- Experience building and demonstrating UI prototypes
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
- Experience with Jira or similar tracking tools
- Experience with TFS / Azure DevOps / Visual Studio
- Experience troubleshooting browser compatibility and styling issues
- Experience designing applications handling HIPAA / PHI data
Additional Requirements:
- Strong experience with accessibility (WCAG AA standards)
- Experience working in government or healthcare environments preferred
- Mandatory compliance with HIPAA, ITS Security Agreements, and confidentiality policies
