Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Web Project Manager to lead web development projects across our digital portfolio. The ideal candidate understands the full web development lifecycle-from discovery and UX through launch and optimization-and can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Manage the complete lifecycle of web projects including new site builds, redesigns, landing pages, microsites, and ongoing feature enhancements
• Develop and maintain project plans with clear timelines, milestones, sprint schedules, and deliverables
• Lead daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives for web development sprints
• Track progress against milestones, proactively identify risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
• Manage project budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of coordination between UX/UI designers, front-end and back-end developers, QA teams, content strategists, and copywriters
• Translate business objectives and creative briefs into actionable technical requirements for development teams
• Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and stakeholder alignment meetings
• Provide regular demos and progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders
• Facilitate technical decisions around site architecture, performance optimization, and third-party integrations (analytics, marketing automation, CRM)
• Mentor junior team members and help establish web project management best practices

Quality Assurance & Launch Management

• Define QA testing protocols and manage UAT processes across devices and browsers
• Ensure all web deliverables meet brand standards, performance benchmarks, and accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1)
• Coordinate site launches including staging reviews, go-live checklists, DNS cutover, and post-launch monitoring
• Maintain documentation including project briefs, technical specifications, and post-launch reports

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (web development, digital media, communications, marketing, computer science) or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience managing web development or digital projects
• Demonstrated experience delivering responsive websites, web applications, or digital campaigns

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and how they impact project scoping and timelines
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Webflow, or headless architectures)
• Experience with web analytics platforms (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics) and tag management
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals, site performance optimization, and Core Web Vitals
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, ADA compliance)
• Understanding of web hosting environments, domain management, SSL certificates, and deployment processes
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, Figma)

Preferred Qualifications

• Agency experience managing web projects for multiple clients or brands
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies; Scrum Master or PMP certification a plus
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce)
• Understanding of API integrations, headless architecture, and modern JAMstack approaches
• Background in UX design, front-end development, or digital marketing
• Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
