Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weighmaster / Scale House & Accounting Coordinator to support daily operations at our aggregate/quarry facility.
This position plays a critical role in managing truck scale operations, maintaining accurate ticketing records, and assisting with accounting and payroll-related tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with drivers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate truck scale and accurately weigh inbound and outbound loads.
- Generate and manage scale tickets and load documentation.
- Enter daily transactions and tickets into QuickBooks.
- Assist with billing and recordkeeping.
- Report employee hours for payroll processing.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and plant personnel.
- Maintain organized records of materials, loads, and deliveries.
- Ensure accuracy of data entry and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in office, accounting, or scale house environment.
- Experience in aggregate, construction, trucking, or ready-mix industry strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Billing and invoicing.
- Customer account management.
- Dispatch coordination (preferred).
- Proficiency in:
- QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills (Big Plus):
- Experience with scale systems/ticketing software.
- Knowledge of materials (rock, sand, base, etc.).
- Understanding of hauling logistics and trucking coordination.
