WelderBecome a key part of a high-performing team in Grand Island, NE at a world-class manufacturer, in a safe and friendly environment! Job Duties:
- Read and work from work orders, blueprints, route sheets, and supervisor instructions
- Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and positioners per specifications
- Weld metal components using wire-feed welding equipment according to layouts, diagrams, and procedures
- Adjust amperage and voltage to ensure quality welds at optimal speed
- Produce simple to complex weldments, including regular and irregular designs
- Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
- Ensure proper fit, alignment, and dimensional accuracy using fixtures and clamps
- Guide the welding gun to achieve correct fusion, bead size, and weld quality
- Clean and prepare weld joints using wire brushes, grinders, or chemical methods
- Cut metal plates or structural shapes using an oxy/acetylene torch when needed
