RPO DIRECT HIRE

Certified Welder

Following established procedures, responsibilities may include some or all the following:

" Properly set up and operate manual and automatic welding systems per work instructions and good weldingpractices.

" Positions and adjusts fixtures, attachments, or workpiece on machine, using visual acuity, hand tools andmeasuring devices.

" Adjust, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process to achieve conformance standards.

" Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements.

" Performs proper pre-weld cleaning and handling of parts.

" Inspects hardware to ensure specifications are met, by visual inspection and measuring devices.

" Maintain a high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinentsafety rules and requirements.

" Maintain work area and equipment in an organized, clean, and FOD-free manner.

" Obtain and maintain all required qualifications and certifications in all appropriate metals.

" Ability to perform set-up and troubleshooting of weld equipment.

" Understand general and weld specific safety issues.

" Provide guidance to less experienced welders as necessary.

" Assist with skill development, safety, and other training of welders.

" Work with Engineering as needed to develop weld processes and resolve weld issues.

" Troubleshoot all weld equipment working in a team environment to maintain operational needs.

Qualifications:

" HS diploma or equivalent.

" At least 8+ years of welding or related experience or demonstrated ability to perform the describedresponsibilities.

" Able to become certified to AWS D17.1.2001.

" Able to read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols and qualityrequirements.

" Must demonstrate manual dexterity.

" Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

" Must be able to read and understand blueprints.

" Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.

" Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

" Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
