Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Welder to join a growing team in Gulfport, MS! This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder with experience working in a marine, industrial, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environment.We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of safety and quality, and can work effectively as part of a team. What You'll Do
- Perform welding and fabrication work on metal components and structures*
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications*
- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools*
- Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding as required*
- Weld various types and thicknesses of metal*
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy*
- Grind, cut, fit, and prepare metal prior to welding*
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, and repair projects*
- Measure and align materials to ensure proper fit and specifications*
- Maintain a clean and organized work area*
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements*
- Work safely around heavy equipment, tools, and materials*
- Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned
- Previous professional welding experience preferred*
- Experience in marine, shipyard, industrial, structural, or heavy fabrication is a plus*
- Ability to perform quality welds with attention to detail*
- Familiarity with welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication tools*
- Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions*
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team*
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance*
- Safety-focused mindset*
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
