This weekend position assists with the fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal components by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and helping ensure quality production in a safe and organized work environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on welding and fabrication experience while working alongside experienced tradespeople.Required Experience & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or a welding environment is a plus Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication tools and equipment Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow written and verbal instructions Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong teamwork and communication skillsEssential Duties & Responsibilities Assist welders with setup and execution of welding and fabrication projects Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and positioning metal components Operate hand tools, grinders, and other basic fabrication equipment safely Hold and align materials for welding, bolting, or riveting operations Clean weld areas and finished products by removing slag, spatter, and debris Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas Move materials and equipment using hoists, forklifts, or manual methods as required Assist with weld inspections and quality checks on completed products Perform general labor and shop support duties as assigned Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Preferred Qualifications Previous welding helper or fabrication shop experience Forklift or overhead crane experience Familiarity with metal fabrication processes Mechanical aptitude and desire to pursue a career in welding or skilled tradesPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift Comfortable working in hot, noisy, dusty industrial environments Ability to safely wear required PPE throughout the workdayWork Environment Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility Exposure to welding equipment, sparks, heat, metal dust, noise, and heavy materials Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality Weekend schedule providing 40 hours of pay for three 12-hour shiftsWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay of $16.00/hour Work only Friday Sunday while receiving 40 hours of pay Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Excellent opportunity to learn welding and fabrication skills from experienced professionals Team-oriented workplace with opportunities for advancement into skilled welding positionsReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday Friday | 8 AM 4 PM
