Join a leading industrial equipment manufacturer as a Welder / Fabricator, where youll help build heavy mechanical equipment used in infrastructure and industrial applications.As a Welder / Fabricator, youll play a key role in assembling and fabricating metal components according to specifications, ensuring quality workmanship while meeting production schedules. What Youll DoAs a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for:
- Positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding metal components to form completed assemblies
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Setting up and operating fabrication equipment such as brakes, shears, grinders, drill presses, and cutting tools
- Performing MIG welding on steel components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Measuring and marking materials for cutting, bending, and fabrication
- Using precision measuring tools including tape measures, squares, and gauges
- Monitoring welding processes to prevent overheating, distortion, or defects
- Inspecting finished welds and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards
- Moving materials and components using forklifts or overhead cranes
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment while following all safety procedures
- 2+ years of welding or metal fabrication experience preferred
- Strong MIG welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Experience working with steel and heavy metal assemblies
- Familiarity with fabrication equipment and shop tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Experience operating overhead cranes or forklifts preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
