- Performing MIG welding on steel components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.*
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.*
- Fitting, aligning, and preparing parts and materials for welding and assembly.*
- Operating shop equipment such as grinders, torches, and cutting tools with safety and precision.*
- Inspecting welds for quality, strength, and adherence to specifications.*
- Monitoring welding processes to prevent defects and maintain consistency.*
- Assisting with material handling using overhead cranes or forklifts.*
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following all safety protocols and standards.
- 2+ years of MIG welding experience, particularly on steel.*
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications.*
- Experience working with large, heavy metal components.*
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment.*
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift.*
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.*
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.*
