At Peoples Rx, we’re not just hiring a Wellness Specialist / Receiver — we’re inviting knowledgeable, service-minded wellness advocates to join our team.

This opportunity goes beyond traditional retail. You’ll build relationships with customers and provide thoughtful guidance to help them make confident decisions about their health.

We are currently hiring for multiple openings across our Austin-area stores. Candidates will be considered for placement based on business needs, scheduling availability, and preferred work location.

This position includes a specialized receiving role. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and organizing incoming product shipments during early morning hours before the store opens, then transitioning to the sales floor to provide exceptional customer service and wellness guidance throughout the day. Previous receiving, inventory, or retail stockroom experience is required.

What You’ll Do

As a Wellness Specialist, you will:

• Provide personalized customer support and wellness product guidance.

• Educate customers on supplements, lifestyle, and nutrition options within DSHEA guidelines.

• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel heard and supported.

• Assist with product selection, special orders, and checkout.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store

• Support inventory, stocking, and merchandising

• Participate in ongoing product education and team training.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming product shipments for accuracy.

• Unpack, organize, and stock merchandise while maintaining inventory accuracy.

• Coordinate incoming deliveries and maintain an organized receiving area.

• Assist with inventory counts and product replenishment.

• Transition from receiving responsibilities to customer-facing Wellness Specialist duties as store operations begin.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age

• Passion for supplements, nutrition, or natural and holistic health is strongly preferred.

• Previous retail receiving, inventory, warehouse, or stockroom experience is required.

• Knowledge or familiarity with nutritional supplements and wellness products.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Reliability and consistent schedule availability is a must.

• Ability to begin work as early as 6:00 a.m. on receiving days.

• Experience receiving, organizing, and stocking retail merchandise is strongly preferred.
