POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic and resilient leader supporting ad HR operations at our Williamsport, PA facility. This role partners with plant leadership to shape a high-performance culture, strengthen employee engagement, and deliver HR solutions that drive business success. The HRBP demonstrates strong change leadership by effectively involving and communicating with those impacted by change, building alignment, and mitigating barriers to adoption.

This is a highly visible role suited for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, navigates ambiguity with confidence, and brings clarity and structure to evolving situations. The HRBP is the go-to resource for all people-related matters -coaching leaders, resolving employee concerns, managing compliance, and driving talent development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP & CULTURE

  • Advise plant leadership on employee relations, engagement, and organizational strategy.

  • Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across all levels of the plant.

  • Lead change management efforts to support business transformation and organizational resilience.

  • Assess employee engagement and culture and design strategies to close identified gaps.

TALENT & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and develop a high-performing on-site HR team to ensure effective service delivery and team growth.

  • Coach and develop frontline supervisors to support operational excellence, succession planning, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee talent processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning to build a strong talent pipeline.

  • Drive workforce planning to forecast staffing needs, identify skill gaps, and ensure the right talent is in place to support operational goals.

  • Facilitate and oversee all selection, hiring, orientation, and onboarding processes to ensure successful integration of new talent.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics and KPIs, using data to inform decisions and improve outcomes.

  • Monitor and analyze key HR metrics and KPIs to support improved outcomes (hiring quality, reduce attrition, retain top talent, strategic workforce plans).

  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal HR policies.

  • Collaborate with finance and HR teams on labor cost planning and reporting.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy to foster alignment and engagement, including formal meetings, small group sessions, focus groups, 1:1s, plant town halls and employee surveys.

  • Manage leave-of-absence programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other personal leave.

  • Ensure consistent application of corporate and local HR procedures and initiatives.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPORT

  • Model safe behaviors and support all safety initiatives in partnership with the HSE team.

  • Promote a culture of safety by reinforcing expectations and participating in safety-related activities.

  • Collaborate with site leadership to ensure alignment with environmental and safety goals.

  • Skilled in leading complex change, managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Models a customer-focused approach to employee support, balancing empathy, responsiveness, and business priorities.

  • Builds and sustains effective employee relations and engagement strategies that promote a positive work environment and support retention.

  • Proficient in HR administrative processes and HR technologies, including HRIS platforms (Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office applications.

RESILIENCE & AGILITY

  • Thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environment with the ability to remain calm, adaptable, and with a solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Demonstrates resilience and sound judgement when navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and complex employee matters.

BUSINESS & TECHNICAL ACUMEN

  • Designs, implements, and monitors HR programs and solutions that drive measurable improvements in workforce performance and operational outcomes.

  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, compliance practices, and effective approaches to dispute resolution.

  • Skilled in HRIS management, data analysis, and reporting to support decision-making, trend identification, and action planning.

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to leaders and employees at all levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (PHR/SPHR certification preferred).

  • Proven success in employee relations, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Experience with HRIS systems, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Workday, ADP and Microsoft Office (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is an on-site role at our Williamsport, PA manufacturing facility.

  • Regular shop floor presence is required to build relationships and stay connected to operations.

  • The facility is a fast-paced, industrial environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

  • Standard PPE required: ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses, and safety toe shoes.

The role may involve occasional standing, walking, bending, and light lifting during plant visits and employee interactions.
