Wiring Technician 1St

Position:  Wiring Technician Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm  Pay Rate: $20.00 to $29.00 (Based on experience) Job Summary:  Install and maintain wiring, control, and systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.  Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using different hand tools. Duties/Responsibilities but not limited to: • Drill holes and run new wires through cabinets• Install switches and controls • Use diagnostic equipment to ensure safe and full functionality of installed systems • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics • Follow instructions of the manager or supervisors Required Skills/Abilities: • Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday • Ability to read blueprints, building plans • Ability to use hand tools and power tools. • Ability to follow instructions. • Excellent time management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Previous experience in related field preferred. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of standing and walking. • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. Other Requirements: • Good communication skills • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision• Outstanding organization skills• Ability to read, write, and understand English • Perform other duties within your skill set, as needed or directed.
