Job Description

Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht of Advantia Health is looking for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our practices in Frederick, Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Damascus, MD. We are seeking a WHNP with solid GYN experience as well as antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum experience that includes patients with varying medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.)

Job Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
Develops and implements patient management policies and procedures
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
Current state licensure as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (Maryland preferred)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (Maryland preferred)
Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required
DEA and CDS eligible
1+ years' experience working in the women's health field.
