Job Description
Position Overview:The Wood Fabrication Technician is responsible for constructing high-quality wood products and assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and CNC equipment. This position involves reading blueprints and work instructions, assembling components, and ensuring that all products meet established quality, safety, and production standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking tools and equipment, including CNC machines, to manufacture custom wood components such as lockers, cabinets, and specialty furniture.
- Read and interpret detailed work instructions, drawings, and blueprints to assemble wood parts into finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to support efficient production operations.
- Complete required documentation for production tracking and quality assurance.
- Utilize inventory management systems (e.g., Kanban) to replenish materials and parts as needed.
- Inspect finished products to verify compliance with internal quality and production standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support additional tasks within the production department as directed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support continuous improvement and workflow efficiency.
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to wood dust, noise, and power equipment.
- Ability to sit, stand, or move for extended periods during the workday.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.

- Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, or cabinet-making strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, CNC machinery, and the ability to read blueprints or shop drawings.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
