We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites that align with brand standards, user experience best practices, and business objectives. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in WordPress development, front-end and back-end programming, performance optimization, and security best practices. This position requires collaboration with designers, marketers, and content teams to deliver responsive, conversion-focused digital experiences.Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
- Customize existing themes and plugins to meet project requirements
- Convert design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.) into fully functional WordPress sites
- Ensure websites are responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and performance
- Implement technical SEO best practices
- Manage site migrations, backups, and updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner
- Maintain website security and implement best practices
- Integrate third-party APIs and tools (CRM, marketing automation, analytics, etc.)
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to improve user experience and conversion rates
- Document development processes and maintain organized code repositories
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience developing WordPress websites
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience building custom themes and plugins
- Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi etc.)
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Understanding of MySQL databases
- Knowledge of SEO principles and performance optimization
- Experience with Git/version control
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Familiarity with headless WordPress
- Knowledge of React or modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience working in an agency environment
- Understanding of ADA compliance and accessibility standards
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
