JOB TITLE:
Intramural Sports Official
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
The Campus Recreation Business Office Student Staff are the first people patrons see when they enter the gym. This position is customer service centric, being the first line of departmental contact for all patrons entering and using Half Acre Gym. This position manages sales, answers questions - in-person and via phone, as well as monitors and enforces facility access.
Job location: Half Acre Gym and other campus locations
Pay rate or range: $13.50/hour
JOB PURPOSE:

As an employee of the Intramural Sports Program, your actions are representative of the department. A positive attitude and professionalism towards participants and co-workers contributes greatly to the overall quality and success of the program. Officials of the Intramural Sports Program must know and perform all responsibilities related to their job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend required program meetings and sport specific trainings
- Assist with participant check-in and game site set-up/clean-up
- Officiate games while enforcing Intramural Sports policies, procedures, and rules
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current UW student
Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Officiating experience
EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:
Group management, safety management, conflict resolution.

WORK LOCATION:
On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
