Role Overview
We're looking for a hands-on, driven Resource Manager to lead and execute staffing operations for our Workday Americas business. This is a critical role that combines strategic oversight with daily execution - ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and loves solving problems.
You'll be responsible for the full staffing lifecycle: from planning to managing real-time staffing decisions and reporting. You'll partner closely with Sales, Delivery, and Operations to ensure we have the right people on the right projects - and that our consultants are utilized, supported, and positioned to grow.
If you're someone who can think strategically but execute tactically, this is your opportunity.
Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Staffing Execution
Own and manage all aspects of resource scheduling and project staffing - proactively aligning people to projects in real-time.
Serve as the go-to person for resourcing queries, escalations, and day-to-day decision-making across Workday Americas.
Maintain our forecast tooling with accurate project and resource information; manage setup and updates for assignments and project codes.
Track and manage bench time, start/end dates, and forecasted availability to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
Partner with Sales and Delivery to align upcoming demand with current and future capacity.
Use sales pipeline and delivery forecasts to anticipate resourcing needs and flag constraints early.
Collaborate with Capability Leads to identify and address skill gaps, clearance requirements, and upcoming training needs.
Reporting & Analytics
Generate regular reports on utilization, availability, and forecast accuracy.
Translate data into insights to support leadership decisions and improve staffing effectiveness.
Monitor use of unfunded time and other non-billable codes to ensure financial discipline.
Process Development & Improvement
Refine and document resourcing processes, SLAs, and best practices to build a repeatable, scalable staffing model.
Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements that streamline operations.
Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Build trusted relationships with Delivery Managers, Capability Leads, Recruiters, and Sales.
Act as a bridge between pipeline planning and delivery execution - ensuring both sides stay in sync.
Be a clear, consistent communicator who helps teams navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.
Essential Skills and Experience
3+ years of hands-on experience in resource or staffing management within a consulting or professional services environment.
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple staffing priorities across regions, timelines, and skill sets.
Strong familiarity with utilization targets, margin awareness, and how staffing impacts business performance.
Proficiency with Excel and experience working with PSA tools (Workday PSA strongly preferred).
Outstanding communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Self-starter with a "get it done" attitude and a high level of ownership.
Desirable Skills
Experience with Workday-specific projects and delivery models.
Familiarity with P&L or commercial management.
Background in technology or consulting services staffing.
Proven experience in developing or scaling resource management functions.
Personal Attributes
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities without constant direction.
Solution-oriented mindset: you don't just flag problems, you propose fixes.
Strong collaboration instincts: you know how to bring people together and make complex decisions with incomplete information.
Willingness to evolve the role and grow with the business as needs change.
This role is an opportunity to influence and shape how a high-performing team operates at scale. If you're a strategic thinker who thrives on solving problems, building relationships, and follows through with delivery execution-we want to hear from you.
