Job Description
In search of:
Part-time youth sports scorekeeper - supports YMCA youth sports programming by assisting with game day operations, including scorekeeping, site supervision, and participant support. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe, organized, and positive experiences for youth, families, and volunteers. Ideal candidates enjoy sports, teamwork, and being part of a mission-driven organization.
Qualifications:
- Interest in sports and youth development
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light physical activity
- Prior sports or customer service experience preferred but not required
Essential Functions:
- Operate scoreboards and keep accurate game scores
- Assist with gym and equipment setup and breakdown
- Support coaches, officials, participants, and families during games
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized environment
- Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors
- Monitor facilities during evening and weekend programming
- Uphold YMCA policies, safety procedures, and good sportsmanship standards
- Other duties as assigned
Rate of Pay:
$11.00/hour - commensurate with experience
