We help our healthcare clients maximize the impact of their Human Experience (HX) investment. Our consultants have walked in their shoes and will partner to overcome their biggest challenges. The Senior Consultant, HX Assessment, coordinates and leads project teams of internal consultants, advisors, and growth professionals, overseeing the delivery of traditional and transformational human experience consulting, strategic support, and projects across multiple clients. The Senior Consultant is ultimately accountable for the delivery services to assigned clients, typically large, complex organizations. Responsibilities include management of interdisciplinary teams, design of statistical, financial and operational analyses, quality control, development and presentation of client deliverables, management of existing client relationships, industry research, and expansion of business.

Provides expertise and analysis with active role in executive interviews; responsible for creating and supporting executive summary content formation; and supports strategic roadmap based on client priorities. Ensures successful collaborations with core client account team and/or internal business units to transition strategic recommendations into actionable improvement plans for ongoing client relationships.

Responsible for contributing and leading strategic internal innovation and collaborative projects to design, deliver and improve enterprise capabilities to meet and exceed perceived value with clients.

Role can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (work from home) with flexibility to travel when needed.

Additional duties and responsibilities include:

Engagement Management and Delivery

  • Manage and deliver defined scope of engagement plan including oversight of related activities, timelines, staff scheduling, deliverables and outcomes.

  • Apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to demonstrate the value of our solution to clients and prospective clients.

  • Lead and focus team efforts in data gathering and analysis, data interpretation, process design, and developing solutions to difficult or complex client situations to ensure goals and objectives are met.

  • Utilize tools to measure engagement progress, benefits provided to clients, and achievement of budget expectation.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and manage successful client relationships at the VP level and above, generating positive client feedback on quality, value, innovation, delivery, and results.

Directing and Leading Teams

  • Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and ability to accurately gauge others to appropriately guide thinking and behavior, especially in difficult situations.

  • Successfully lead and manage a diverse team of professionals on large complex engagements by fostering a collaborative team culture.

  • Orchestrate multiple complex engagement work streams through others by directing and leading, and executing.

  • Provide quality control and performance outcomes for all work deliverables.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) to a variety of audiences; must be able to persuade and influence the actions of others; Interactions will range from routine to complex and include formal and informal presentations, one-on-one and group discussions.

  • Prepare final client status reports and create presentations to clients and engagement staff that demonstrate full command of factual material.

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, including executive leadership.

Sales and Practice Development

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to expand current engagements and identify new business and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Build a strong network of client and industry relationships which strengthen the Press Ganey brand in the market and provide avenues that generate new business.

  • Participate as a leader in practice management and innovation which includes creating and enhancing current tools, methodologies, recruiting practices, and personnel development processes.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of previous work experience in healthcare
  • Clinical background highly preferred
  • Director level experience in healthcare or senior level consultant
  • Experience working with complex data sets across the human experience (patient, employee, safety, quality, payor, clinical operations, etc.)
  • Background in leading performance improvement and/or change management initiatives in a complex environment
  • Experience in medical management design and operations including creating the structure, processes, and programs that guide how clinical and administrative teams manage patient care & day‑to‑day execution and oversight of those programs
  • Healthcare corporate strategy/innovation development including shaping the long‑term direction of a healthcare organization and developing new, innovative solutions that improve performance, reduce costs, or transform care delivery.
  • Healthcare quality improvement, change management, performance improvement initiatives
  • Executive presence
  • Strong data analytic skills (Excel, Access, SQL, SAS, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Products (Word, PPT, Excel) to support document preparation
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to quickly adapt to multiple priorities
  • Proactive, "can do" approach and growth mindset
  • Start-up experience a strong plus (part of a new and emerging team and offering)

Education

  • Master's degree required. Disciplines preferred include business administration, health policy and administration, finance, or clinical degree (RN, MD, APP, PharmD)

Flexible to travel up to 70% domestically in the U.S.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 - $175,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
