Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for participants in multiple sports disciplines. Provide one-on-one coaching and instruction to athletes, focusing on skill development, technique, and strategy. Lead group sessions, clinics, and workshops to enhance participants' skills and abilities. Organize and oversee competitions, tournaments, and events to showcase participants' talents and achievements. Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate program schedules and ensure a positive experience for participants. Communicate effectively with participants and their families, addressing questions, concerns, and providing updates on program activities. Stay current on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new techniques and methodologies into program curriculum as needed. Qualifications: Previous coaching experience in one or more of the following sports disciplines: basketball, dance, tennis, soccer, volleyball, swimming, track, cycling, martial arts, or pickleball. Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in your respective sport(s), with a track record of success as a player or coach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants of all ages. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and execute effective training sessions and events. As a Barback you would be responsible for assisting the bartender with any prep-work, stocking, running, and cleaning, while following local health department standards, Suburban Inns' Core Values, and Suburban Inns, as well as going above and beyond to ensure that guests are 100% satisfied.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valued
  • Inspect bar prior to shift for adequate supplies
  • Stock glasses, liquors, beers, and wines as needed
  • Refill garnishes and mixers
  • Wash glasses at the bar
  • Assist the bartender with any job-related tasks requested by them
  • Restock bar at the end of the night
  • Request supplies as needed
  • Change sanitizer in bar area every two hours
  • Help with closing procedures of the bar
  • Assist with deep cleaning and routine maintenance of bar equipment
  • Follow all Suburban Inns processes
  • Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records
  • Other duties as requested by management

Position Requirements:

Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret / extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions. Good communication skills

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: None

License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: TIPS Certification (may be completed upon hire)

Work Schedule: Work regularly requires or varies between day, evening, night, holiday, and/or weekend assignments. Schedule varies according to business demands and needs

Required Travel: Position does not require travel to other Suburban Inns properties or other locations. Work is performed on property

Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:

Uniform: A shirt and nametag will be provided. Team Members are responsible for their own pants and shoes meeting Suburban Inns specifications. Pants need to be either black slacks or dark wash jeans with no holes (no yoga-style) and shoes need to be black, close-toed and non-slip.

Appearance: Hair must be kept well-groomed. All facial piercings and tattoos that are not covered by a work uniform must be approved by management. Any tattoo that is deemed offensive to co-workers, guests, vendors or others in the workplace based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive or legally protected nature are not permitted and must remain covered or concealed at all times. This policy will be administered by the position's supervisor, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, height, weight, genetics, familial status, veteran status, and other protected characteristics. The Vice President of Operations has the authority to veto any decision made by the position's supervisor.
