We are looking for a mission driven Sports Medicine physician dedicated to caring for serving underserved and diverse communities. The position will be based at our new multi-specialty clinic in the White Center area of Seattle in a Sports Medicine & Rehab space designed specifically for this purpose. Job Summary The physician will provide Orthopedic and Sports Medicine services to patients of Sea Mar Community Health Centers, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of all kinds of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, concussion management, MSK procedures, Sports pre-participation evaluations, fracture care and care of special populations. The Physician will cover boxing events for Sea Mar’s Youth Boxing program. The Physician will receive learners in the Sports Medicine department and teach them musculoskeletal clinical skills. The Physician will have the opportunity to lecture for family medicine residents, ARNP residents and MD/ARNP colleagues. The physician, if board certified in MSK US, will perform diagnostic scans by referral. The physician, if competent, will perform US-guided procedures, potentially including, joint and bursal injections, needle tenotomy, sclerotherapy, hydrodissection, US-guided tendon debridement, and other emerging new technologies consistent with evidence-based medicine, local standard of care, patient needs and Clinical Director approval.  Work off-site is rare. Aside from sporting event coverage or community outreach, there is no clinic on weekends. There is no overnight phone or hospital call. in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance and licensure in a manner consistent with guidelines established in the principles of practice at Sea Mar and its mission statement. The physician will work collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care. The physician prescribes and/or dispenses required medication to patients according to the individual prescriptive authority granted by the Washington State Board. The physician participates in organizing and directing preventive health programs such as immunization, disease detection and disease prevention activities, including educational programs for patients and community groups in the service areas with approval from the Medical Director and/or Health Center Administrator. The physician is expected to participate in clinical affairs, working with administrative personnel, the Medical Director and the Chief Medical Officer to improve the patient care experience. Responsibilities and Duties​ The physician will work as part of a care team to provide quality comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients.  The physician provides Sports Medicine services to patients of Sea Mar Community Health Centers in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance and licensure in a manner consistent with guidelines established in the principles of practice at Sea Mar and its mission statement. Job Summary
The Official is a critical role on any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

Responsibilities
  • Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety environment for all players
  • Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
  • Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
  • Referee "2" one hour games, Saturday & Sunday
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
  • Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
  • Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
  • Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
