These positions are scheduled on an “as needed” basis since events/ sport dates can vary from season to season.  Required Qualifications Must have Associate's Degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, Sports Media, or a similar field  High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus an additional 2 years of experience can be substituted for the degree requirement. Must be at least 18 years of age or older Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to different schools in our coverage area (Bergen, Hudson, Hunterdon, Warren, Sussex, Morris, Essex, Passaic, Union, Middlesex, and Somerset counties) There may be occasional travel outside of the coverage area. We try to arrange for carpooling where possible. If you are driving to an area outside of the coverage area, you will be compensated an additional “per-diem” rate. Must be flexible and willing to work weekends and weekday evenings during the academic year You will be given a minimum of 2 weeks notice of any events that are added to the schedule.  Games on weekdays can start as early as 3:45 PM and early as 9 AM on weekends. Call times are usually 90 minutes prior to game start. Must have excellent communication skills  2-3 years of experience in providing play-by-play or color commentary for the sport(s) you are applying to commentate for (either interscholastic or collegiate level) Working knowledge of the sport for which you are applying to be a commentator. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: After completing the application, you will be sent a questionnaire to submit what sport(s) you are interested in applying for. For each sport you will be required to submit a demo/ highlight reel of yourself commentating for that specific sport.  The Link to the Form and Password will be emailed to candidates upon completion of the application. As a Youth Sports Coach with ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars), you'll lead or assist a weekly after-school sports program at one of our San Francisco communities. Our upcoming Fall season runs from August - December 2025 (must be available for the entire season). Time commitment is 3-18 hours per week, depending on how many classes you teach. We provide all necessary training, equipment, and support. Being an ANTS Coach is a great way to learn to coach sports while serving our community. ANTS partner schools & communities are located across the Sunset District, Cole Valley, West Portal, NOPA, South San Francisco, and Ingleside. Classes will run at community parks, tennis courts, and elementary schools. Join our team! Coach Responsibilities Lead a fun & safe weekly sports practice for kids ages 5-10 Teach the FUNdamentals of sports through a cohesive and game-filled lesson plan. Training provided! Create and upload media (videos, imagery, etc.) for Vikings players and teams. Setup, store, and troubleshoot broadcast equipment, including cameras, audio mixers, headsets, laptops, and cables. Gain a working knowledge of live video stream of home contests. Communications, Media, and Fundraising (35%) Write releases and feature articles, edit and design game programs, maintain historical records, and compile statistics. Cover all intercollegiate events for NPU Athletics in a timely manner. Organize and distribute records, stats, and creative elements. Work with Advancement and University Marketing to promote North Park student-athletes while adhering to North Park’s distinctives: Christian, City-centered, and Intercultural.
