Court Sports Pro Shop Responsibilities : Greets members and guests with a smile and takes care of their needs. Opens and closes pro shop as scheduled. Folds towels throughout shift for use by membership. Registers members and guests for appropriate guest, ball machine and rental fees. Manages availability of ball machine & executes any maintenance needed. Prepares short court reports for maintenance staff for all court sports facilities. Answers the shop telephone, assists with questions as able and prepares detailed messages for court sports staff members. Promotes and registers members for all court sports tournaments. Enters quarterly court reservations sheets and contract times for all facilities. Assists with receiving, ticketing, and displaying of merchandise. Maintains neat, clean, and attractive pro shop floor and merchandise displays. Assists members and guests with merchandise to increase shop sales. Assists with merchandise inventories. Complies with departmental grooming standards. Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and/or holidays. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned. Court Sports Pro Shop Minimum Qualifications : Must have experience in merchandise sales and displays. Must have knowledge of computer software applications. General court sports knowledge preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people. Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission. This is a year-round position that will require attendance in Tempe, AZ at Spring Training from mid-February until April 1, at Instructional League from mid September – the end of October and Mini Camp for one week in January. During the competitive season an average of 3 weeks/month will be spent in person at affiliates: from April – November in Madison, AL, Salt Lake City, UT and Pasco, WA. This team member will provide medical nutrition therapy, performance nutrition education and will establish a safe food and supplement supply in accordance with MLB and MLBPA rules to enhance the development of each athlete in the high A, AA and AAA affiliates. This position is also benefit eligible including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K eligibility; employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment and additional perks not listed above. Court Sports Pro Shop Responsibilities:          

  • Greets members and guests with a smile and takes care of their needs.
  • Opens and closes pro shop as scheduled.
  • Folds towels throughout shift for use by membership.
  • Registers members and guests for appropriate guest, ball machine and rental fees.
  • Manages availability of ball machine & executes any maintenance needed.
  • Prepares short court reports for maintenance staff for all court sports facilities.
  • Answers the shop telephone, assists with questions as able and prepares detailed messages for court sports staff members.
  • Promotes and registers members for all court sports tournaments.
  • Enters quarterly court reservations sheets and contract times for all facilities.
  • Assists with receiving, ticketing, and displaying of merchandise.
  • Maintains neat, clean, and attractive pro shop floor and merchandise displays.
  • Assists members and guests with merchandise to increase shop sales.
  • Assists with merchandise inventories.
  • Complies with departmental grooming standards.
  • Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Court Sports Pro Shop Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in merchandise sales and displays.
  • Must have knowledge of computer software applications.
  • General court sports knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people.

  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.

  • Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
  • Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.

Court Sports Pro Shop Physical Requirements:

  • Stands for 95% of workday.
