POSITION OVERVIEW: The Sports and Experiential Marketing Lead will support the planning and activation of GEICO's vast portfolio of sports sponsorship and experiential marketing efforts. The individual must be confident collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders including Creative, Social, Operations, Media, Analytics, and Agency teams to bring sponsorships and experiential activations to market. This position requires strategic thinking, being a self-starter and the proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and innovate while ensuring activation and creative elements align with Brand and business objectives. Collaboration and confidence will be critical to the success of this role. Our marketing organization is rapidly evolving and integrating new functions - so it's important you are comfortable with a high level of interoperability across various internal and external teams to produce solutions as well as developing new methods. Our department's hybrid model is 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility. Corporate offices are in Bethesda, MD (greater DC); Manhattan, NY; Chicago, IL. This role reports into the Sr. Manager, Sports & Experiential Marketing. Responsibilities: Lead contract fulfillment, activation, and reporting of sponsorships and activations Operate as the liaison with the Creative team to ensure that all assets are developed to meet the needs, specifications, and best practices of the program Support to a cross functional team assisting with all aspects of sponsorship management and experiential marketing Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to execute sponsorship and experiential marketing activations Ideate, innovate, and pitch effective and differentiated activations to shape future strategy enhancements Manage partner contracts, agency relationships, and event ticket distribution Ideate, innovate, and pitch innovative, effective, and differentiated activations to continuously enhance strategic approach Lead projects, discussions, presentations, and timelines while initiating new processes to improve workflow Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a business, marketing, or sports field preferred 5+ years of sponsorship and experiential marketing experience In depth understanding of the sports landscape/stakeholders including teams, leagues, college sports and consumption methods Experience driving omnichannel campaigns Contract negotiation experience Experience managing relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills to coordinate between multiple projects Excellent analytical, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills Availabilitly to travel up to 25% Location: Location- Bethesda, MD or New York, NY Hybrid- 3 days onsite, 2 remote days Annual Salary $82,000.00 - $141,450.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
