The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for administrative data entry, reviewing and auditing reports and other related administrative tasks as assigned. This position is located within a busy, fast paced medical staff Credentialing Office at Albany Med. This position works closely with the Director on Provider Expirables.
This is an in office position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA and NYS HIV Confidentiality Law
- Collect information from medical records, licenses and other various data forms and enter them into databases
- Maintain organized filing and tracking systems
- Work independently, asking questions when guidance is needed
- Inform supervisor of data entry issues
- Practice strong attention to detail and accuracy of data entry
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
- Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office - required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy (High proficiency)
- Excellent organization and tracking skills (High proficiency)
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality principles
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
