Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on best practices in swim instruction and safety. Experience Previous experience as a lifeguard is highly desirable.. Background in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or experience working with students is preferred. Familiarity with various kids' sports such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, judo, karate, or martial arts can be beneficial. Ability to speak confidently and clearly with both children and adults. A strong understanding of childcare principles is an asset. Previous work in health clubs or gyms is advantageous. The on-boarding process of the Pro Fitness Program typically integrates between 30 and 40% of all club members into personal training which necessitates us expanding our personal training team. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and desire to be a positive influence on others. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Your role will involve developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and promoting water safety awareness.

Duties

  • Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that follow the proven SafeSplash curriculum.
  • Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress, concerns, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on best practices in swim instruction and safety.
Experience

  • Previous experience as a lifeguard is highly desirable..
  • Background in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or experience working with students is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various kids' sports such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, judo, karate, or martial arts can be beneficial.
  • Ability to speak confidently and clearly with both children and adults.
  • A strong understanding of childcare principles is an asset.
