Position Summary: The Sales Engineer for Cryogenics, a key contributor within the cryogenics markets, will be responsible for driving sales and margin growth in their defined territory/region. Focused on selling vacuum jacketed pipe (VJP) and systems, this individual will play a crucial role in channel development, product and applications training, sales forecasting, project execution, and end-user demand generation. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with Customer Service, Business Line Management, and other Sales Engineers to achieve business objectives. This is an onsite position in Jurupa Valley, CA. Principle Duties (includes, but may not be limited to): Drive organic growth for vacuum jacketed pipe products within the designated geographic sales territory, catering to the hydrogen and cryogenics markets. Identify key decision-makers and influencers at targeted bio-storage, researching institutes, hospital and others industrial applications, engaging with them to communicate the value propositions of our vacuum jacketed pipe and systems for their specific applications. Set and achieve sales and margin forecasts through effective channel management and direct interaction with end-users. Develop and maintain relationships with maintenance and conversion accounts (MRO). Act as an integral team member or leader in executing projects, leveraging the Global Project Tracker. Possess in-depth knowledge of the Cryogenics product line, especially vacuum jacketed pipe, and its value proposition within various applications. Conduct training sessions for distribution sales channel personnel to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness. Recommend product modifications, improvements, new products, or applications based on market insights. Stay informed about current market conditions and regularly report findings to the Sales Manager and peers. Generate accurate sales forecasts for each product line. Conduct training seminars for distribution channels, end-users, and colleagues when required. Effectively manage the assigned territory within budgetary constraints, ensuring proper reporting and distribution management. Retain existing MRO business and actively pursue new account conversions. Identify, recommend, and participate in relevant trade shows. Drive end-user demand through regular interactions and engagements at that level. Champion the use of Crane Business System (CBS) tools to facilitate continuous business improvement. Provide a weekly report on all activities to direct manager Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's degree in technical field preferred. 1+ years of sales experience in technical field is required. 2+ years experience in Cryogenics market, preferably focused on selling or working with vacuum jacketed pipe is preferred. Excellent sales skills are required. Experienced in selling technical products like corrosion resistant piping, valves, controls, pumps in the chemical, petrochemical and mining markets. Ability to establish credibility through demonstrated expertise, integrity of his/her initiatives. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build relationships with channels and end users. Knowledge of how to create a product differentiated, value proposed, product advantage to win MRO and projects versus competition. Strong listening skills with the ability to assimilate information and translate it into customer solutions Sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and present recommendations with clarity and conviction to serve the overall objectives. Excellent written and oral communication skills, professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor. High energy team player. Hands on approach. Position Summary:

The Sales Engineer for Cryogenics, a key contributor within the cryogenics markets, will be responsible for driving sales and margin growth in their defined territory/region. Focused on selling vacuum jacketed pipe (VJP) and systems, this individual will play a crucial role in channel development, product and applications training, sales forecasting, project execution, and end-user demand generation. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with Customer Service, Business Line Management, and other Sales Engineers to achieve business objectives.

This is an onsite position in Jurupa Valley, CA.

Principle Duties (includes, but may not be limited to):

  • Drive organic growth for vacuum jacketed pipe products within the designated geographic sales territory, catering to the hydrogen and cryogenics markets.

  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers at targeted bio-storage, researching institutes, hospital and others industrial applications, engaging with them to communicate the value propositions of our vacuum jacketed pipe and systems for their specific applications.

  • Set and achieve sales and margin forecasts through effective channel management and direct interaction with end-users.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with maintenance and conversion accounts (MRO).

  • Act as an integral team member or leader in executing projects, leveraging the Global Project Tracker.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Cryogenics product line, especially vacuum jacketed pipe, and its value proposition within various applications.

  • Conduct training sessions for distribution sales channel personnel to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.

  • Recommend product modifications, improvements, new products, or applications based on market insights.

  • Stay informed about current market conditions and regularly report findings to the Sales Manager and peers.

  • Generate accurate sales forecasts for each product line.

  • Conduct training seminars for distribution channels, end-users, and colleagues when required.

  • Effectively manage the assigned territory within budgetary constraints, ensuring proper reporting and distribution management.

  • Retain existing MRO business and actively pursue new account conversions.

  • Identify, recommend, and participate in relevant trade shows.

  • Drive end-user demand through regular interactions and engagements at that level.

  • Champion the use of Crane Business System (CBS) tools to facilitate continuous business improvement.

  • Provide a weekly report on all activities to direct manager

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field preferred.

  • 1+ years of sales experience in technical field is required.

  • 2+ years experience in Cryogenics market, preferably focused on selling or working with vacuum jacketed pipe is preferred.

  • Excellent sales skills are required.

  • Experienced in selling technical products like corrosion resistant piping, valves, controls, pumps in the chemical, petrochemical and mining markets.

  • Ability to establish credibility through demonstrated expertise, integrity of his/her initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build relationships with channels and end users.

  • Knowledge of how to create a product differentiated, value proposed, product advantage to win MRO and projects versus competition.

  • Strong listening skills with the ability to assimilate information and translate it into customer solutions

  • Sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and present recommendations with clarity and conviction to serve the overall objectives.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.

  • High energy team player.

  • Hands on approach.

  • Competent with basic use of MS products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
