Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, maintain and support the manufacturing database using documents from engineering, including all information pertaining to inventory part numbers, standard costs, standard weights and bills of materials.
- Reviews and analyzes all part number changes to understand and anticipate the impact of the changes and challenge the direction when necessary. Use your understanding of Baan to challenge and propose the best way to implement the requested change.
- Issues, controls and maintains control of new part numbers while working with the materials team on engineering change timing to minimize the impact of inventory obsolescence.
- Maintains accurate cost structures based on latest EO/RTS for part changes. This includes taking the raw request and digging deeper to understand what change is really being requested and using past precedent and procedures to drive the necessary change.
- Researches and assists implementation and communication of customer-driven label modification.
- Maintains BAAN/SAP master files and various tables (account cross reference, reason codes, class codes, multiple inventory locations, work centers, work areas).
- Utilize BAAN/SAP to maintain and update Work center information to communicate with end of line testers to test for color and content.
- Maintains proper documentation of all database changes to serve as an audit trail and audits database on an ongoing basis.
- Perform other finance/inventory related projects, as requested.
- Provides training/advice in utilization of BAAN and associated databases, especially for new employees.
- Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA inspectors. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety rules. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately. Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee, including themselves.
- Understands and follows existing Magna policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvements.
- Associate’s degree in accounting, Computer Engineering or related field preferred.
- 3 - 5 years related work experience preferred
- Significant experience and understanding of Baan required. Experience with Materials or Engineering menus preferred.
