Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Get started or advance your insurance career. The Insurance Center is currently seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to work in our New Bern, Atlantic Beach or Wilmington, NC office. This is a client service role with significant advancement opportunities and pathways to sales and production. 

Our Agency is looking for client-focused individuals, with high attention to detail, looking to advance within the Insurance Industry.  The Insurance Center is a full-service, independent insurance agency offering personal lines, commercial lines, life and health insurance.

Requirements:

  • North Carolina Property and Casualty License or equivalent. (must be able to be attained within 90 days of hire)
  • Prior experience working within the Insurance Industry preferred.
  • Applied Epic knowledge preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to build client relationships.
  • Effective time management skills, willingness to learn, and be coachable.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with a variety of insurance applications and policies.
  • Issuing policies/binders, processing policy change requests, and processing payments.
  • Assisting clients with quotes, renewals, and re-writes.
  • Prepare Proof of Insurance and issuing Certificates of Insurance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and teammates.
  • Provide support to Commercial Lines Producers.
  • Utilize the Agency Management System to document all activity performed and log insured and carrier correspondence.
  • Accept and process insured payments, respond to billing/cancellation inquiries and process cancellations.
  • Provide backup support, such as answering incoming calls, and other administrative work as needed.
  • Send documentation to insureds to obtain signatures (including eSignatures), in a timely fashion, and maintain in Agency Management System or within carrier systems.
  • Adhere to Agency Errors & Omissions guidelines.
Compensation and Benefits: 

  • Starting pay at $48,000 /yr. 
  • Pay based on experience.
  • Sales Commission and Bonuses available
