The contributions you will make: This position assists in supporting the servicing, processing and sales support for insurance products. A typical day: Data Entry Enters information accurately into the AIP (Approved Insurance Provider) systems (applications, endorsements, acreage reports and production reports) prior to each deadline. Provides pre-keyed source documents to sales team prior to client approval Provides resulting documents for review and distribution to client. Indexes documents as they come into OnBase, claims inbox. Enters data into Salesforce as necessary. Enters claims into Approved Insurance Provider system. Client Service Assists clients and sales team with gathering and completion of required documents for insurance coverage including, but not limited to applications, acreage reports, production reports, etc. Assists the Crop Insurance Sales Team with questions regarding policies via phone, email and jabber. Reviews documents submitted from agents for accuracy and quality control ensuring they are Risk Management Agency (RMA), Approved Insurance Provider (AIP) and Compeer compliant. Ensures the client file is up-to date and accurate. Assists Crop Insurance Sales Team with Compeer crop insurance internal processes, procedures, and projects. Uses Service Now to facilitate Crop Insurance Sales Team questions. Office Support Prepares and delivers documents (applications, acreage reports, production reports) for crop insurance sales team to grow the business and use in client meetings. Prints and highlights insurance documents to assist sales team with client mailings. Assists other departments as needed to meet the needs of the organization. Scans completed crop insurance documents into document management system. Product and System Knowledge and Expertise Maintains a comprehensive understanding of crop insurance products available through Compeer Financial and all related FCS eligibility regulations. Remains current on product details and program changes. Maintains expertise to ensure RMA guidelines and Compeer best practices are being met on all product lines. Assists with mentoring interns. The skills and experience we prefer you have: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in business administration, finance, economics, agriculture or other related field, preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the job. Must have a valid crop insurance license or obtain one within three months from the time of hire. Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance or Ag related field. Proficient in a minimum of 2 AIP systems. Basic agricultural knowledge. General knowledge of crop insurance programs and information Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills. Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business. Strong client service skills. Ability to meet strict non-negotiable deadlines. Continually seek cross-sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage. Monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients. Coordinate meeting with client and/or Producer to present the renewal and supporting documents to gain acceptance of the renewal or commitment to go to market for alternative options. Lead the marketing of accounts of smaller, less complex accounts. Independently prepare marketing information for smaller and/or less complex accounts for Producer or client. Provide required information to Producer and participate in presenting options to the client. Manage the implementation process; prepare and deliver all applicable forms to client. Formulate a plan with Producer to conduct relationship management meetings and/or visits with assigned clients. Proficient in the client management system(s), specifically to update policies that are written or renewed, log activities to document client meetings, carrier follow-up, service issues, establish follow-up date and daily manage follow-up in client management system(s). Also, understand how to use the system to acquire information to assist clients. Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients and acquire expertise in legislative changes, as opportunities occur. Mentor team members. The contributions you will make: 

This position assists in supporting the servicing, processing and sales support for insurance products.  

A typical day: 

Data Entry

  • Enters information accurately into the AIP (Approved Insurance Provider) systems (applications, endorsements, acreage reports and production reports) prior to each deadline.
  • Provides pre-keyed source documents to sales team prior to client approval
  • Provides resulting documents for review and distribution to client.
  • Indexes documents as they come into OnBase, claims inbox.
  • Enters data into Salesforce as necessary.
  • Enters claims into Approved Insurance Provider system.

Client Service

  • Assists clients and sales team with gathering and completion of required documents for insurance coverage including, but not limited to applications, acreage reports, production reports, etc.
  • Assists the Crop Insurance Sales Team with questions regarding policies via phone, email and jabber.
  • Reviews documents submitted from agents for accuracy and quality control ensuring they are Risk Management Agency (RMA), Approved Insurance Provider (AIP) and Compeer compliant.
  • Ensures the client file is up-to date and accurate.
  • Assists Crop Insurance Sales Team with Compeer crop insurance internal processes, procedures, and projects.
  • Uses Service Now to facilitate Crop Insurance Sales Team questions.

Office Support

  • Prepares and delivers documents (applications, acreage reports, production reports) for crop insurance sales team to grow the business and use in client meetings.
  • Prints and highlights insurance documents to assist sales team with client mailings.
  • Assists other departments as needed to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Scans completed crop insurance documents into document management system.

Product and System Knowledge and Expertise

  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of crop insurance products available through Compeer Financial and all related FCS eligibility regulations. Remains current on product details and program changes.
  • Maintains expertise to ensure RMA guidelines and Compeer best practices are being met on all product lines.
  • Assists with mentoring interns.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in business administration, finance, economics, agriculture or other related field, preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must have a valid crop insurance license or obtain one within three months from the time of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance or Ag related field.
  • Proficient in a minimum of 2 AIP systems.
  • Basic agricultural knowledge.
  • General knowledge of crop insurance programs and information
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Strong client service skills.
  • Ability to meet strict non-negotiable deadlines.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

$41,300 - $58,700 USD
