Administers contrast media when appropriate. Proficient in starting IV's. May be assigned on-call standby shifts as needed by the department. Under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, Radiology Team Leader, or Radiology Section Manager performs radiographic procedures according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail. Performs a wide variety of general radiographic procedures including but not limited to, complex portables, Trauma Alerts unassisted, complex Fluoroscopy, Basic C-arm, and sterile contrast studies. In the role of a Radiology Technologist II at Sollis Health, you will be responsible for the operation of our CT and X-ray equipment, performing diagnostics and ensuring that proper information has been obtained. You will also be trained and certified on how to run lab testing in a CLIA laboratory. We are hiring per diems who are interested in working both shifts and conducting piece rate scans. Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must have an X-ray & CT certification to conduct scans as needed on Sollis patients. This is a piece-rate pay model. How piece-rate pay model works: A Sollis patient needs a scan. You will receive a text message asking if you are available to come into our facility to scan a patient. If you are available, you arrive to conduct the scan(s). You are paid based on how many scans you conduct. Compensation: Daytime (defined as scans beginning within (7:00am- 11:00pm): $350 per scan Overnight (defined as scans beginning within (11:00pm- 7:00am): $700 per scan Example: You conduct two scans in two hours at Sollis during the daytime, you will receive $700 as payment. Job Overview: The Radiology Utilization Coordinator is responsible for optimizing the appropriate use of radiology examinations across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings. Streamline scheduling of inpatient to outpatient procedure and IR exam conversions. Triage radiology alerts and situational awareness via investigation per the electronic medical record and additional clinical resources. In concert with Case Management and Transfer Center, coordinate and determine system strategies for Leave of Absence for the regional patient. Collaborate with Command Center operations and acute care leadership to identify process improvement strategies, reduce patient length of stay (LOS), trend delays, support quality initiatives and enhance patient safety. Define patient activity triggers and feedback mechanisms to inform operational team members, physician leaders, and administrative team to mitigate over capacity situations.
