Under the direction of the radiologist, perform angiographic procedures following prescribed protocols and procedures and assist in the development of new procedures and protocols. Uses computers to process radiographic studies and patient billing information. Demonstrates competence in the assessment, range of treatment, and knowledge of growth and development appropriate to the age and disability of the patient being treated. Travel is required between the Westmoreland and Latrobe Campuses. Essential Job Functions Collects pertinent data about the patient and the procedure. Reconfirms the patient's identification and verifies the physician's order. Provides information to patients about the procedure. Provides accurate explanations and instructions at an appropriate time and at a level the patient can understand. Administers contrast agents according to established guidelines. Monitors patient during exam for adverse reaction to contrast media. Maintains constant communication with patient during procedure. Obtains optimum images during scan. Reformats images as needed to better visualize anatomy or pathology according to established guidelines. Sends images to PACS for interpretation by radiologist. Performs a variety of radiographic procedures and duties primarily in main radiology, under the direction of a qualified Physician, Operations Manager, and Diagnostic Clinical Supervisor, using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation. Performs all activities according to federal, state, local and hospital policies and procedures to a variety of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric in age. Operates imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts. Qualifications Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent military training in Radiologic Technology required. Radiologic Technologist License issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiation Control Board required. Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Required education by AMA or current student/recent graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiological Technology
  • Active Washington State License or pending application or ability to obtain WA state license within one year if current student
  • ARRT certification or ability to obtain ARRT certification within one year if current student/recent graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiological Technology

Preferred Qualification:

  • Specialty specific board certification

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
